The 17,000 participants coming for the Doha 2012 United Nations Climate Change Confe rence (COP18/CMP8) Conference, being held from November 26 to December 7, will be served by a fleet of more than 400 buses offering "hop-on hop-off" sightseeing trips.

The fleet, described as "a dedicated tourism bus line" for Qatar's largest-ever conference, will take participants to Doha's main attractions free of charge.
Buses will depart every half an hour, between 10am and 4pm, for the duration of the conference. Accredited members will be able to use the free service to visit some of Doha's main attractions.
The first stop will be the Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island constructed in the shape of a string of pearls, in homage to Qatar's pearl-diving history.
Visitors will be able to take a stroll around the marina, shop at various luxury clothing stores and choose a meal from a  range of international cuisines.
The next stop will be Katara the Cultural Village Foundation, with its opera house, an open air amphitheatre, handicraft souq and host of restaurants and cafes.
The next stop on the free bus tour will be Qatar Sustainability Expo, being held at Doha Exhibition Centre from November 26 to December 7. The expo will showcase environmentally-friendly programmes and
initiatives.
The buses will also take passengers to the Sheraton Doha hotel, where they can board the free shuttle buses to the Qatar National Convention Centre, the venue of
COP18/CMP8.
Other stops on the bus route include the Museum of Islamic Art. Conference participants will also be able to view the ongoing exhibition, "1,001 Inventions" that celebrates a thousand years of Arabic science heritage.
The final stop of the bus tour will be Souq Waqif, a traditional market.
