This case study aims to describe the legal, regulatory, operational and financial issues related to establishing and operationalization of the Designated National Authority (DNA) in Moldova. It summarizes key capacity needs and lessons learnt regarding efficiency and sustainability of CDM national process in the country. Moldova was selected as one of the two (along with Georgia) target countries for the analysis because of its more advanced CDM institutional framework as compared to other non-Annex I countries in the Eastern Europe and CIS.
